Greenwood Jr. High is pleased to present the Landry Gamble Citizenship
Awards to the students who are responsible members of the GJHS
school community who make a positive difference in all aspects of student
life. The citizenship award is presented to the students who best
exemplify the qualities of citizenship and embody what it means to be a
responsible young adult. These awards were voted on by the faculty and
are the most prestigious awards received today.
Congratulations to McKenna Bristol, Elisabeth Wilkinson, Jonathan Drake Little, Spicer Fowler, and Noah Myers!
GJHS Awards Assembly Tomorrow

Greenwood’s Junior High cubing team swept the top spots at the Guy Fenter Co-op Spring Speed Cubing Competition yesterday! In the individual 3 x 3 cube solving competition, Greenwood’s Noah Brown took first place solving the cube three times with an average time of 30 seconds per solve. Greenwood’s Krish Bastola finished second with teammates Dexter Coston and Nashton Sharum also finishing in the individual top ten. Greenwood also took first in the team competition in which Brown, Bastola, Coston, Sharum, and Beckham Presnell managed to solve ten 3 x 3 cubes faster than any other team. In two new advanced competitions, Greenwood also tied for first in both the team competition, in which the five students from the 3 x3 team managed to solve 9 of 10 different types of cubes in under 10 minutes, and in the individual competition, in which Dexter Coston was able to solve eight of the ten different cubes by himself in under 10 minutes.
