Friday 10/27, we are having a district wide fundraiser to raise money for the Special Olympics. We are asking students to bring $2 on Friday, and in return they can wear a hat that day. Please help us raise money for this great cause.
Congratulations to these students for being selected by their teachers for the “I See You” awards! We asked teachers to nominate students who have displayed exceptional actions inside or outside the classroom(such as leadership, kindness, responsibility, or sportsmanship).
The October 2023 recipients are:

8th Grade: Aria Graves, Carter Koch, Carter Lachowsky, Chandler Overton, Drake Little, Ellie Cogin, Emma Burns, Rylin Hendrickson, and Sam Shoppach.
We see so many students doing great things at GJHS and we're excited to continue recognizing them!
GJHS Robotics is hosting a Geno's Night fundraiser on Tuesday, October 24th.
Fun in Advisory sessions! Coach Holloway taught students how to make fly fishing lures and Mrs. Burchfield hosted a Harry Potter trivia group!
Homecoming Spirit Week is Oct. 16th-19th! Keep in mind that all clothing must follow the school dress code.

Picture retakes will be tomorrow, October 3rd! This is for any student who was absent for the first round of pictures. If your child already had their picture taken but wants a retake, there is a $5.00 fee.

Partner’s Club students created a photo composition during Mrs. Mizell’s advisory last week. It turned out so pretty!
Students have been learning about blood pressure and other vital signs in Mrs. Higgins’ Medical Detectives class. Last week they were putting their knowledge to work!
