Good Afternoon, Parents of the Class of 2031,
This is Coach Nation, Principal at GJHS. We want to invite you to join us for 7th Grade Registration Night on April 15th at 6:00 PM in the High School Performing Arts Center. Students will select courses and receive important dates for the upcoming school year.
Some events happen before the 4/15/25 and we want you to be aware:
Dance Team: March 18–21, 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Prep Class: Today, 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Parent Meeting: Thursday, 5:00 – 6:00 PM (Cheer Gym)
Volleyball: April 9, 3:30 – 5:30 PM (Volleyball Gym)
Good luck to all trying out!

You can also fill out the paper that is being sent home. Please list your top three choices on one of the nights. It will be a first come first served. Please have your paper back to the Junior High Office by Feb. 25, 2025.

I just wanted to take a minute to remind you that Thursday Night, 2/20/25, is Parent Teacher Conference Night. We will be sending home a letter tomorrow, but I wanted to give you the most time to plan. We will be available from 3:30 - 8:30. Good Evening,
I am excited to announce that next week our 7th Grade students will be taking a field trip to tour ABB. We are excited to show our students the future employment opportunities in our community. Students will go on the trip either Feb. 4 or Feb. 6. The trip will take place during the school day, and students will need to dress fit a certain dress code that day. Shoes will need to be closed toed shoes, long hair need to be put above the shoulders, and no hoodies that day. This week is flying by, and Friday is a big day! In the afternoon, students will attend Alice in Wonderland, and we’re excited to celebrate their hard work and talents of our theatre students. The cost to attend is $2.
Additionally, students who would like to donate to the Walters family can do so through the front office.
Friday, January 31st, is also the last day to order a yearbook with personalization. If you’re interested, please be sure to place your order by then. The final deadline to order a yearbook is February 21, 2025. Please note that yearbooks must be pre-ordered—we do not order extras.

Next week is the Musical Theatre's performance of Alice in Wonderland! We are thrilled to celebrate the talent and hard work of our students and staff!
Our students will attend the performance next Friday, and the cost is $2. There will also be evening performances open to the public from January 30 to February 1, starting at 6:30 p.m. Admission for these performances is $5 for adults and $3 for students. The GJHS Musical Theatre students would also like to take donations on behalf of the Walters Family. We will collect donations during the night performances and any junior high student that would like to donate can donate in the front office.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: The 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Basketball games against Alma that were scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9th have been moved to Wednesday, Jan. 8th! Girls will play at home and boys will play away at Alma. Go Bulldogs!

Parents/Guardians: Please be aware that during semester tests on Thursday and Friday, students will not be permitted to check out during a testing period. Even if they have completed the test for that class, they will not be allowed to check out until the next passing period.
Also, students may only be checked in and out once each day.
After the last testing period concludes on Friday at 12:15 pm, students may be checked out.
