The Greenwood School District would like to inform parents and community members that we will be conducting Project ADAM Heart Safe drills at each campus on Wednesday, March 4th.

Project ADAM is a nationwide initiative focused on preparing schools to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies. As part of our commitment to student and staff safety, our campuses will be rehearsing emergency response procedures to ensure we can implement life-saving protocols quickly and effectively.

During each campus’s scheduled drill time, you may notice an increased presence of emergency responders, including police, fire, and medical personnel. Please be assured that this activity is a planned drill designed to strengthen our emergency preparedness.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our schools safe and prepared.

Good Afternoon Parents,

I can’t believe it’s already time to send this out, but ready or not, your student is about to become an 8th grader!

On Wednesday, your student will receive important paperwork and will watch a video that walks them through the information. I wanted to share the video with you in advance so you have the opportunity to review it and begin planning together as a family.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your student’s journey. It is a privilege to partner with you during these important milestones. If you have any questions, please email at josh.nation@greenwoodk12.com or call at 479-996-7440.

Good afternoon Bulldog Families,

This time of year always means we begin helping students look ahead — not just at next year's classes, but at where those classes are leading them. Our Career Action Plan (CAP) process is designed to guide students toward courses that match their strengths, interests, and future plans, and we value parents as an important part of those conversations.

The attached newsletter explains the CAP process and upcoming meetings. Below is information about programs that require an application so families can review options together.

All program applications can be found here:

https://sites.google.com/greenwoodk12.com/greenwood-cap/application-links

⏰ All applications are due February 25 at 3:00 PM

These deadlines are important because they determine staffing and course availability for next year.

Current 8th Grade → Rising 9th Grade

Students may apply for:

• Yearbook

• Athletic Trainer

• Bulldog Broadcast

Questions or Concerns contact JoLynn Dixon at jolynn.dixon@greenwoodk12.com or at 479-996-4141.

Good Afternoon,

We hope that you all have enjoyed your long weekend. We also hope that students are rested and prepared to return to school tomorrow. Please help us by reminding your student to bring their chromebook and charging cord tomorrow to school. We will be checking computers back in so that they can stay at school. Thank you for helping us with this important task.

Regards,
Coach Nation

Good Afternoon,
GJHS will be transitioning away from a 1:1 Chromebook model. Due to the high frequency of device damage, we are no longer able to consistently ensure access to Chromebooks throughout the school day.
We understand that this change may create some unforeseen challenges, and we appreciate your patience and partnership as we work through them. Our goal remains the same—to continue growing together and providing the best possible environment for our students’ academic and personal success.
With this change in mind, all students must bring their Chromebook and Chromebook charger to school on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Thank you for your continued support.

Also, please remember that while test exemptions are determined on a class-by-class basis, students will only be permitted to check in and out once per day. Additionally, students cannot be checked out until the end of each testing class period.
Please plan accordingly.
