Good Afternoon, I’m reaching out to ask for your help with a concerning trend we’ve recently encountered. Some of our students have come across a TikTok challenge that involves inserting objects into the ports of their Chromebooks. They are referring to this as “CAD” – short for Computer Annihilation Device. Please take a moment to speak with your students about the seriousness of this behavior. Chromebook damage of this kind is costly, with replacements costing approximately $300. In addition to the financial responsibility, students will also face significant school disciplinary consequences. Thank you for helping us reinforce the importance of respecting school property. Computer Check-In – Monday, May 12, 2025 Next Monday, May 12, 2025, is computer check-in day. All students must bring their computers and chargers to return on that day. If a student does not have a charger, they must bring $20 to cover the replacement cost. Students will not be allowed to check in their computers until both the device and either the charger or the replacement fee are turned in. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Greenwood Walmart held a vote for Favorite Teacher and Mr. Evan Lensing was the winner from Greenwood Junior High! Congratulations to Mr. Lensing! And thank you Walmart for recognizing teachers in our district!

Great second day of testing! Our students' attitude and effort throughout this time have been awesome! We’re halfway through, and they are crushing it! Please help us by reminding your student to: Get a good night’s rest, Fully charge their computer each night, and Bring their charger to school, just in case it’s needed during testing. Thank You!

Field Day is this Friday! We’re excited to celebrate our students’ hard work during this week’s testing! Students have been divided into Color War groups. To help support our custodians, please ensure any face or body paint is done at home to help keep our restrooms and facilities clean. We’ll have $1 snacks, a dunk tank ($2 for 3 throws), and plenty of fun activities! We’re proud of the many students who’ve worked hard to improve their grades. Please remember that students with failing grades will not be allowed to participate. Field Day is a regular school day, and attendance counts—please plan accordingly. ATLAS testing next week at GJHS

Friday is Field Day! We’re looking forward to celebrating our students and their hard work with a fun and active day. Please note: students with an F in any class will not be allowed to participate in Field Day. Instead, they will use the time to catch up on assignments and improve their grades before the school year ends. We encourage you to support your child in using this weekend and the coming week to complete any outstanding work. Thank you for your continued support!

Dear Parents and Guardians, Next week is testing week, and we are excited for our students to show all the growth they’ve made this year! We need your help to ensure they are set up for success. Please remind your child to: Charge and bring their Chromebook each day, along with their charger. Get a good night’s rest. Eat a little something for breakfast each morning. Testing will take place Monday through Thursday from 8:00 to 11:15 a.m. Please avoid scheduling appointments during this time if possible, as it’s important to minimize any interruptions. Thank you!

The GJHS Dace will be Friday, May 9th! Admission is $5.00 at the door and school dress code will be enforced. Please do not wear heels, as they will damage the volleyball gym floor!

Good Afternoon, We are just wanting to remind everyone that tomorrow we are doing a hat day to support Make a Wish. Students are welcome to wear a hat for a $2 donation. Students will give that money to 3rd hour. Thank you!!!

GJHS Robotics has made it to World's! Come out to Geno's Pizza tonight and help support them!

Our robotics team has made it to World's!! Tomorrow night at Geno's from 5-7 a portion of the proceeds will go to our crew! So no cooking and supporting a great program, sounds like a perfect night!!

Good Morning, We are supporting Make a Wish this Friday. Students can wear a hat to school for $2. Please help us support this amazing cause. We would also like you to know that the cutoff for Principal Roll/Honor Roll is April 25. Please remember that this cutoff is only for the awards, the true reflection of your student's performance is the report card that comes out at the end of the school year. Have a Great Day!!
