Miss Greater Hot Springs, Graceanne Morgan visited Greenwood Jr. High Music classes. She gave tips on presenting the best audition. Graceanne is a graduate of Clarksville High School, a freshman at Ouachita Baptist University, a former All Region/All State Choir member, and has acted in several local and regional productions. She is also a huge advocate for Musical Theatre education.
JH Musical Theatre students will be auditioning for “Frozen, Jr. “ this week (9/12-9/14).

Congratulations to Ayree Maner, a Junior at Greenwood High School!
Fort Smith Regional Art Museum has had a student exhibit featuring Ayree’s art since April. They extended her exhibition in July because their board and visitors love her work. They were presented with an opportunity to bring an artist to show at the new ACHE Research Institute and Wellness Center and chose Ayree to be their first featured artist! 👏🏻 Her entire exhibit can be seen at the ACHE gallery, where she will represent the FSRAM until December.
The Gallery Reception is September 14, open to the public. Congratulations Ayree!

Search for Needed Greenwood High School Yearbooks 📚📚
The Greenwood Education Foundation is sponsoring a new project to add Greenwood High School yearbooks to the District’s website and to the Vital Signs Wall of Fame video screens in the Performing Arts Center and the H. B. Stewart Bulldog Arena.
The Foundation has borrowed copies of yearbooks from 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964, 1965, and 1968-2022 to be scanned and placed online. Yearbooks from 1925 (The Rox),1928 (The Rox), 1938, 1939, and 1940 (all three known as The Phoenix after the high school burned down) have been collected to be scanned. It is unknown if any yearbooks were created during the Great Depression and during WWII. Yearbooks following WWII were known to be printed every two years. Anyone who has access to any of the missing yearbooks and is willing to loan them to the Greenwood Education Foundation to be scanned and displayed on the Greenwood School District’s website please contact JoElla Skaggs at joella.skaggs@greenwoodk12.com or GHS - 479-996-4141.
