A snowball fight in math class? Yes, Mrs. Denson’s class had papers with a math problem wadded up as snowballs. After a short snowball fight, students picked them up and solved them on their answers sheet. #engagement #LearningIsFun

Third and fourth graders in FabLab are learning a lot about microorganisms like bacteria and viruses! They’re also learning how to protect themselves so they can stay healthy. Using Glo Germ Gel, they participated in a handwashing lab to see how effective they are at scrubbing away germs, and they’re imagining new germs and the symptoms they might cause. Make sure to ask your student all about it!

FabLab electrical engineers have been hard at work the last few weeks making Playdoh circuits. They’ve made simple, series, and parallel circuits, and they’ve used what they learned to create Playdoh sculptures with an electrical feature.

Roo Doo’s Wildlife Zoo came to visit Animal Adventures K-1 today for our clubhouse day! We learned about two different types of eggs, ostrich eggs and chicken eggs. We learned all about how they differ from one another. We also learned about skunks! They brought their pet skunk “Beans” to show the kids a real life example of what skunks are really like. It was a great day of learning about these interesting animals! We can’t wait for the next adventure!
