Join us in wearing purple on Friday, April 21st to show support for all the military kids for the strength and sacrifices they have made. Purple represents joint service operations and combines Army Green, Air Force Blue, Space Force Blue, Coast Guard Blue, Marine Red, and Navy Blue; it is the appropriate color to represent military children from all branches.

Good Evening,
This week has been amazing at GJHS. Tomorrow we are raising money for Make a Wish. Students can wear a hat, if they are willing to donate $1 to Make a Wish. We are also looking into the possibility of adding a Drama/Theatre class at GJHS, and we are wanting to find out how many of our current 7th grade students would be interested in taking the class. If they are interested, please fill out the form that is attached to this message.

Dear 6th Grade Parent/Guardian,
This is Coach Nation, Principal at GJHS. We are so excited that your student is coming over next Tuesday 3/7/23 to hear about all the things we have to offer at GJHS. On this day, your student will come home with a lot of information about upcoming tryouts, and opportunities to be involved at GJHS. We will have Parent/Student meeting on April 11 starting at 6 pm in the PAC that we would love to have all parents attend, so that we can get your students course request filled out and answer any of your questions. A completed course request gets you entered into a drawing for an All Sports Pass that gains access to sporting events hosted at Greenwood.

Big shout out to Arvest for treating GJHS staff to nachos! Happy National Tortilla Chip Day!

This morning administrators at Greenwood High School received an alert from a “vape detector” system which is mounted in one of the restrooms. This alert indicated a “gunshot sound”.
Greenwood Police Department and School Resource Officers responded and determined the detector alert was set off by a slammed door and that there is no threat to students.
We appreciate the quick response by the Greenwood Police Department and our School Security team to keep our staff and students safe. All classes have resumed normal schedules at this time.

Parents, to stay in the loop make sure you are subscribed to School Status.
