We are so proud of our GJHS students and the strong start they’ve made with this year’s testing. They’ve been working incredibly hard, and it’s showing!
Next week, we will continue testing on Monday and Thursday. Please help us by ensuring your student gets a good night’s rest and arrives ready to do their best.
Also, a quick reminder that our school dance will be held Friday from 6:00–8:00 PM in the volleyball gym. Admission is $5 at the door. We will have water available for $1 and snacks for $2. Our school dress code will still apply. Students are welcome to dress up if they’d like, but it is not required. The dance is open to all current GJHS students who have not served ISS or OSS this semester.

It’s hard to believe we’re already talking about end-of-year events and awards assemblies, but the finish line is in sight! We have several important dates coming up, so please take a moment to add these to your calendar:
State Testing Dates: April 21, 23, 27, and 30
Please help us set students up for success by ensuring they arrive on time and ready to go by 8:00 AM each day.
Awards Assembly Grade Cutoff: April 24
This is the latest possible date to allow students every opportunity to qualify. As always, final report cards at the end of the year will provide the most complete reflection of student achievement and effort.

8th Grade: 1:00 PM

Tomorrow GJHS will be supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation with a Hat Day. Students and teachers can wear a hat for a $2 donation. Money will be given to the students' 3rd hour teachers. Thank you for helping us support this awesome charity.

We are excited to announce that our incoming 7th Grade Registration Night will be held on Thursday, April 16th at 6:00pm. This event will take place at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). We can't wait to discuss our class offerings and allow you to pick classes for the 2026-2027 school year at GJHS! We look forward to seeing you and your student!
