Classes Resume Tomorrow!
We will resume classes tomorrow, February 20th on all Greenwood campuses.
Please make sure your child is ready for a productive day of learning.
Also, don't forget our Parent-Teacher Conferences tomorrow evening for grades K-8. It's a great opportunity to connect with your child's teacher and discuss their progress.


Greenwood Public Schools has decided to once again cancel classes and close the campus on Wednesday, February 19th, in response to the National Weather Services predictions for additional snow and ice accumulation throughout the evening, coupled with severely cold temperatures that could make travel hazardous across the region in the morning.
We will announce plans for Thursday operations tomorrow following a 3:15 p.m. NWS briefing, as well as an assessment of road conditions in our local area.

Due to the National Weather Service issuing a winter weather advisory on February 18th, we have made the decision to cancel all Greenwood Public School classes and school activities for Tuesday, February 18th.
Please stay safe and warm, and exercise caution if you must travel. We'll share any updates as needed, so keep an eye on our social media pages.


On Saturday, the Greenwood Junior High Quiz Bowl Team took first place in the Blue Division of the 6A Junior Finals Tournament. This win ranks Greenwood as one of the two top teams in the 6A Quiz Bowl for the 2024-2025 season. 🏆✨
Greenwood captain Dexter Coston was named the MVP of the Blue Division. His average of twelve correct answers per game was the highest average of everyone participating in both divisions of the 6A Junior Finals Tournament.
Other Greenwood players were Mason Thompson, Seth Fontenot, Aiden Kimble, and Jude Harry. The team is coached by Rick Clow and Hilary Huneycutt.


School Resource Officers Day is Feb. 15th
We recognize the hard work and dedication of our SROs! These officers do more than just keep schools safe—they build trust, mentor students, and strengthen the bond between law enforcement and our communities.

Seth Fontenot received the MVP award for the highest individual average score in the Jr. High Division. Other team members were Dolan Mott, Joseph Myers, and Jaden Perry,
The Senior High team finished in 4th place in their division.
Team members were Bryson Cook, Emmanuel Martinez, Ethan Shumate, Isaac Buzbee, and Michael Turner.

Shoutout to our amazing East Pointe and East Hills Quiz Bowl teams for their outstanding performances at the Guy Fenter Co-op Tournament!
East Pointe A Team secured **4th place in the 3rd & 4th Grade Tournament! 🏅 Team members: Hadley Hardy, Mathias Duran-Rivera, Lakynn Coward, Ransom Clark, and Fisher Eveld. Special congrats to Mathias Duran-Rivera and Brooks Kohler for earning all-tournament honors!
⭐ East Hills 6th Grade Blue Team dominated 1st place, while the White Team finished strong in 4th place! 🏆
